SuperSonic Praise, Homos and Toilet Paper

Here are a few pictures from the SonicFlood concert tonight, I have 3 more days of concerts to attend in my concert-a-thon. More details as the days progress! But tonight I saw SonicFlood for the second time and they were very good except for the audio issues (they needed you CW!). I was confroned with something that I didn't like to be confronted with: selfishness. Through an illustration with Compassion Int., they showed us how we are so selfish. Good Stuff.

Today was the first day Equality Ride, a "Christian" Gay group protesting our community covenant of not allowing homosexuals at Lee. They were all over the Ped Mall as I went to Psychology, so I turned up my iPod and dodged them and their flyers. At chapel it looked like they would be staying outside, but I got in there and after a minute or two I noticed two lesbians right infront of me and three in the row infront. Now, I am not homophobic, but it was wierd. Their co-directer, whom I have no respect for was going around and throwing his hand out to shake hands. He was not very friendly. However, all the student riders were, and I felt sorry for them as they were being led down a deeper pit by stone-hearted leaders. Others chatted with them, but I just watched. The co-directors sat right in front with some other people and while the other riders worshipped through the 3 songs, the directors seemed to just look around for something to protest about. When Dr. Conn spoke, he talked about the cliche "Love the sinner, but not the sin". He said nothing about homosexuality, and the riders who were around me laughed and listened with the rest of us.
They had a concert with a gay Christian band, which 3 of my buds went to check out, which I advised them that it might not be the best thing, but I respect them. They got frusterated when at a press conference one of the co-founders made up a bunch of crap about Paul Conn's message at chapel. My pals were very aggitated. They continued to chat with people around the Ped Mall, Alumni Park, Cafeteria, and Student Union. At dinner they sat with people and my group had the chance to talk to a friend of someone who left a year ago.
Interesting....tomorrow is day two, hopefully things will be peaceful.

Two pictures, one of Becky's car a few days ago and one of Sonicflood.

When Things Attack!

Its neat how God shows you things that you swore you let go, but you figure out you've still been holding on for so long. I've discovered some little things in my life that could end up having a big impact on my future and my ministry if I don't hand it over to Him now. So now it's time to really let go...really...

Hot or Hot?

Apparently I am on this website called "Hot or Not". They've been putting guys pictures on it from my floor just to see what the girls were saying. Well alot of people kept on telling me "9.2" tonight and I didn't understand it until someone showed my a picture of my lying on my bed studying Biology with my boxers on. Well apparently alot of girls think I look good. They put the pictures up tonight and I've already got enough votes to be rated!! They guy who started putting alot of us on there is mad because he has a 6.2. Ha! Well...Ladies, I am a 9.2 *Howls*

Spring Break was good. I got to meet up with a TON of people for lunch, dinner, etc. I also got to see my grandmother's new home in Athens (about two minutes from UGA). I got to see a few people at UGA and a softball game. I had dinner in one of the dining halls, and was almost in tears over the beautiful and bountiful selection of food....and then there is Lee. Yuck!

Tonight I went to the filming of my friend T-Ran and his gang on some television show. He and the band sang two songs live. It was awesome. There were cameras everywhere and lights shining from all directions. We even had a green room to wait in before the band recorded. Sweet, eh?

Yeah....more on life later.

Boot-Scoot Booing!

Just when I was starting to really enjoy my shorts, I got kicked out of New Testament! He came up to me and told me to get out of his class. At first I was like, "What the heck?" To him shorts were inappropriate. He failed to give any of us a warning and a few others we asked to leave as well. Out of the 12 or more classes I have taken, he is the first to ask me not to wear shorts. We were having a quiz that day, and I was not going to get a zero. He wasn't a person who got to know people on a personal level, so he didn't even know my name. With that, I knew I could take the quiz and him not able to not give me a grade. Anyways, as soon as I took it, he asked me to leave and I did. I was not going to get a zero. So I got out and was mad. He should have given me a warning that he didn't want people to wear shorts, if he had, I would have not worn them. In addition, I am paying for that class, and supporting him and his family. Also, his whole attitude is I am older, smarter, and more mature than you, so listen and obey. Listen and obey my butt! You may know alot more about the Bible, but that doesn't mean you are any the wiser. There is a difference. So, not much respect for this guy. I never really cared for him since his first sarcastic remark. Can't wait to evaulate him. ;)

So I went back to my dorm and enjoyed the rest of the day and classes in SHORTS! Alot of people emailed me the notes and said they were sorry and that they were proud at how I left quietly and with dignity! The comments I recieved says alot about the professor. Well, that was a could couple dozen dollars down the drain.
