A Tassel, A Tassel, A Tassel

WOW! I will be graduating in just a few hours. No longer a Senior, but a freshman in college! It hasn't hit yet as I have been partying the past few days. Six Flags was awesome, and the best day I've ever had there. Graduation Practice was boring. No we are setting up for my family party on Sun.

Funeral for a Pencil

Alright. My first exam is today in Government. I am hoping to ace this one (Yes a 100). However, last night I found out that I've lost some papers which included my study guide for Government and a few things for my Literature final. Lucky Me! So, when I get to school I will be in search and rescue mode. Wish me luck!

Death and Dissapontment

Tonight's sermon at youth groups was awesome and uplifting. Four people talked about each season and how they interpret it. Summer - working. Fall - can't remember (and my Youth Pastor did that one!). Winter - complacency and purity. Spring - growth. The messages from each person really comforted me and will hopefully help give me more a boost to get out of this nasty winter.

I've been dissapointed by this Christian message board lately that calls themselves "Christian", but rarely shows it. It is full of selfishness, profanity, and non-moral things. It really dissapointed me, and I saw people who joined the forums, have been wrongfully dealt with. I replied to a topic anonymously when they began to diss Christian Music and some artists I have personal connections with. They alled them hypocrites, immoral, unrealistic, fake, crappy, and untalented. That was the last straw. I wrote saying how dissapointed I was with the atmosphere and language of the board and the staff members. They replied back with their usual style...smartmouthing and self-centered. I am waiting for a day to cool of and then I might reply. In the mean time, at my message board, I have my whole staff involved in checking the message board out and the topic I replied to and we are discussing the whole situation.

I just found out my great-uncle died. Last weekend when we were up in Virgina celebrating my granfather's life, we almost lost him then. He had a huge mass of cancer over his lung that was inoperable, so that was what pretty much killed him. He had already had throat cancer and lost his vocal chords. He was a compassionate and caring person, and I will miss him. Now he is with his wife and parents.

In other news, I was hyper, I know...not anything new...

No Snapple and an Echo

I just found this awesome video of a high school's broadcasting class. It's a real video segment, but hilarious as anything!

Cat Barf and the Big Finale

Well, the end of a masterpiece of a show finally came to, well, an end! Everybody loves Raymond was a genuine family show that our family gathered around every night to watch together. It's sad to see it go, and will mostly likely be replaced with a piece of crap. But, hey, that's reality!

As for my trip up to Virginia this past weekend, it was fun. We arrived at 4:30 AM on Friday and I had to go up the street to a cabin my cousins and I were staying in while the rest of the family bunked at my grandmother's house. Friday we got on Tom's old boat (Hard Annie) and went out on the river where it opens up onto Chesapeake Bay and we spread his ashes. It took two boats to fit us all. After that we came back to chili and soup. The next day was Tom's Rememberance Party where we just had fun with catered BBQ and Fireworks. I'll have some pictures up soon to show.

All in all, it was a great bonding and rememberance time of a great guy, my grandfather. Plus, it was peace in a time of pure heck of getting ready to graduate!

Stealing $500 and then some

Today I was able to sleep in and wake up at noon! I awoke to "you're cutting the grass either before we leave or when we get back", no "I need you to cut the grass today, please". So I had lunch and then grabbed my iPod and listened to ABBA while cutting away the grass. It was a pitiful sight as I tripped over 50 billion holes. After that I decided to grab my sister and a friend and take them to the pool. I soaked up some sun and then got back and took a quick shower.
We left about 4:15 to go and get a scholarship that I won. It was a quick congrats, shaking of hands, smile, and give me the money...smooth. I then proceeded to spend my mom's money on tons of food at Kroger. I am on a healthy food mood. I always get like this right before school is out and summer begins.
